Block Party Permits
What do I need to do to plan a block party?
Call the Department of Public Works at (860) 570-3710 to report the day, time and place of the block party. You may also click here to obtain a permit application. A form will be sent to you to provide more details on the party. The department will coordinate with the Police and Fire departments on barricading the streets. No main road such as South Main Street may be closed for a block party.
