the Court, Probate Court Clerk and the Town Clerk one and the same?
No. The Clerk
of the Court is located at the Hartford Judicial District Court, 95 Washington
Street, and serves the court system only. The telephone number is (860)
548-2700. The Probate Court Clerk is located in Room 318 of Town Hall
and handles
legal
domestic
matters such as decedent estates, guardianships, conservatorship and
adoptions.

for maintaining land records, vital statistics, and all other official
records relating
to the town and its citizens. It also issues a variety of licenses, certificates

How do I voice
my opinion on an issue to the Town Council?
All you need to do is write a letter to the Town Council, 50 South Main
Street, West Hartford, 06107, stating you would like to address the Council
on a particular subject. Your letter is placed on the next Town Council
agenda and you will have 5 minutes to speak at that meeting. The public
may speak on any matter that is on the agenda during the public forum
portion of the meeting. Agendas are published in West Hartford News on
the Thursday prior to the meeting.
