Fair Housing Services
Fair Housing Services is a resource for residents seeking information on the rights and responsibilities of tenants and landlords. In addition to providing technical support and timely information on housing laws and ordinances, the staff oversees eviction proceedings and investigates discrimination and other issues that can disrupt the relationships between tenants and landlords. In difficult situations, caseworkers may serve as mediators, working closely with the parties in dispute to help them reach reconciliation and thereby avoid legal action.
