This multi-purpose community center offers hundreds of year-round leisure activities, instructional programs and special events for all ages. The facility is staffed by highly qualified instructors and experts in the fields of education, recreation and fitness.
Elmwood Community Center has several specialized facilities that enable it to accommodate the needs and interests of the community. There is an open auditorium, full-sized gymnasium, billiards room, dance studio, pottery and ceramics studio, library and lounge. There are various classrooms and meeting rooms and two kitchen facilities.
Elmwood Community Center is accessible to persons with physical disabilities. In addition to several designated parking spaces, there are zero-degree incline drop off points at both ends of the entrance circle, gradual-incline ramps, railings and automated entrance doors. An elevator is located at the lobby entrance for easy access to the lower level and the first and second floors, and a lift is available from the lower level to the gymnasium entrance. Bathrooms meet all requirements set forth by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
Approximately 130 parking spaces are available in both the upper and lower parking lots. Additional parking is available on Burgoyne Street. Several parking spaces designated for persons with physical disabilities are available in the upper lot.
