Short Term Rentals: A Team Waiver indemnifying the Town against possible litigation should an injury occur must be provided. In some instances, Liability and Accident Insurance may be necessary.* A participant roster is also required. 

Long Term Rentals: Comprehensive General Liability Insurance in the amount of $1 million (per occurrence) naming the Town of West Hartford as an additional insured is required. Rental Groups must also provide Player Accident Insurance in the amount of $25,000 accidental medical benefits limit per individual/per accident, or signed Individual Waivers of Liability.* A participant roster is also required.  *Insurance requirements are subject to change. 

Special Event Insurance 
Your group may be required to purchase Special Event Insurance. Such insurance is required for functions where spectators may be present, when functions are of a physical nature, or whenever functions are deemed by the Town of West Hartford to be "of risk". Special Event Insurance must always be purchased for events where alcoholic beverages will be served. Special Event Insurance may be purchased through the town, or you can obtain a rider on your own insurance policy naming the Town of West Hartford as an additional insured. Proof of the rider must be provided to the Elmwood Community Center office no later than ten business days prior to the event.

Catering Requirements
If the function is to be catered, the caterer must be licensed by the State of Connecticut and must present proof of the license to the Elmwood Community Center office at least two weeks prior to the event. The caterer must also provide a copy of his/her insurance policy including liability and workers compensation.
