Car Seat information

AS OF 10/15/07 THE WEST HARTFORD POLICE DEPARTMENT HAS REINSTITUTED THE CHILD SEAT INSPECTION PROGRAM.

The inspections will be held on Wednesdays at the West Hartford Police Department, 103 Raymond Road, West Hartford, CT 06107. The inspections are by appointment only.

To make an appointment, call Wednesday mornings for an appointment that day. Calls for appointments will be taken from 8:00 AM to 8:45 AM only. To find out what times are available that day, call 860/523-2013.

The West Hartford Police Department is an official CT Department of Transportation fitting station for the inspections of child safety seats.

Prior to the appointment, the seat should be installed by the parent/caregiver. Refer to the vehicle and car seat manuals for installation information.
