Prayer Service at St. Brigid Church on New Britain Ave. in West
Hartford the Holy Hour at 7:00 pm. will include a special Marion
Prayer Service sponsored by the St. Brigid Knights of Columbus.
This weekend the Icon "Our Lady of Charity" can be viewed
at the sanctuary before and after all Masses and during the Holy
Hour. Weekend Masses include Saturday at 4:00 pm. and Sunday 7:30,

either or both. Parishioners will be available to answer any question
you may have. Reading materials will be given to guests who are
interested in learning more about the Catholic Church.

the Lions A Magical Performance at The

Kids
will be able to meet and interact with the mother lioness, Cleo,
and her cub Lionel while they share stories, tell hilarious jokes,
and belt out tunes. Cleo and Lionel are so entertaining, kids dont
even realize theyre learning. There will be two shows, the
first and 12:30 pm and the second at 1:30 pm. Both shows are free
with paid admission to the Museum. Seating will be available on
a first-come, first served basis. Promotional support is provided
by CPTV, Borders Books & Music, West Hartford Public Library,
and Literacy Volunteers of Greater Hartford.

The “Up
‘n Comers” is a highly talented group of teenagers from
Greater Hartford, who will be performing live this summer at the
Park Road Playhouse.
The inaugural summer production is Rowan & Martins
Laugh-In. Directed by Emily Genser,
English teacher at Conard High School, the company will incorporate
on-stage, backstage, technical and artistic writing positions. Don’t
miss this exciting new troop of actors as they bring their own comedy
to the Park Road Playhouse on July 24, 25, 26 at 7:30 PM. Call

the schedule of its annual summer carillon series for 2008:

24 - Charles Semowich, Carillonneur & Composer, Albany
Concerts
will be held on Thursdays through July 31. The concerts are free,
open to the public and will begin at 7:00 pm. All are welcome to
attend and may bring a chair or blanket and sit on the south lawn
of the church, on the lawn of the public library next door, across
the street on the Town Green or in Blue Back Square. Tours of the
carillon and an opportunity to meet the carillonneur follow the
