in the Webster's Dictionary Marathon. Patrons will
have an opportunity to read the "L" words from the dictionary
fromthe balcony overlooking Webster Square at Blue Back Square. The
library's mascot, Little Noah, is also featured. |

Preschool
children and their parents and siblings are welcome to join the IsraelMites,
a preschool Jewish story hour, at Congregation Beth Israel,
701 Farmington Ave., West Hartford. The sessions will be held on four
Mondays in July, July 7, 14, 21, and 28 at 10 a.m. Stories, crafts,
and snacks are included in the program. It is free and open to the

COME AND MEET US: St. Peter Claver Church, West Hartford invites anyone who would like to find out more about the Catholic Faith to come and meet us. We are holding two informal gatherings on Tuesday, July 29th at 6:00 pm in our Parish Hall on 47 Pleasant St. (across from Fairview Cemetery). Come to either or both. Parishioners will be available to answer any question you may have. Reading materials will be given to guests who are interested in learning more about the Catholic Church. The West Hartford Summer Arts Festival (SAF) is celebrating its 32nd season by raising the curtain on the musical favorite 42nd Street. Chock full of wonderful songs and incredible dancing, this Broadway classic is being performed at Hall High School in West Hartford from Wednesday July 30th through Saturday, August 2nd with all shows beginning at 7:30pm. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $12 from the Elmwood Community Center at 561-8160, or at the door on the night of the show for $15. |

crater. Sample some subzero snacks and watch a rocket launch during
a day devoted to outer space.

from 11 am 4 pm, the Museum features unique science activities
for the whole family. Registration is not needed. Free

The
First Church of Christ Congregational, West Hartford, last
summer carillon performance features David Maker of Trinity College.
Concerts will
be held on Thursdays through July 31. The concerts are free, open
to the public and will begin at 7:00 pm. All are welcome to attend
and may bring a chair or blanket and sit on the south lawn of the
church, on the lawn of the public library next door, across the
street on the Town Green or in Blue Back Square. Tours of the carillon
and an opportunity to meet the carillonneur follow the performance.
