Paving on Sedgwick Road, September 29 & 30
The following intersections and road segments are scheduled to be milled and paved for Tuesday, September 29 and Wednesday, September 30, weather permitting:

Sedgwick Road-Ridgewood Road intersection

Sedgwick Road-Rosedale intersection

A segment of Sedgwick Road between the two intersections

A short piece of Tunxis Road between Sedgwick Road and Wardwell Roads (excluding the intersections)
Two-way traffic will be allowed on Rosedale Road. Detours for through traffic will be posted in the other locations.

Tumblebrook Lane paving, October 2-5
The whole length of Tumblebrook Lane is tentatively scheduled to be milled on either Friday, October 2 or Monday, October 5, followed by paving on Thursday, October 8 or Friday, October 9. The posted detour route will be Simsbury Road to North Main Street to Old Meadow Road. Buses will be able to get in and out of Aiken School via King Philip Drive, Old Meadow Road, and the neighborhood, but not Tumblebrook Lane. For more information, contact Mike Deegan at 916-5289.
Last Round of Paving begins Sept. 28
The last round of paving, which begins Sept. 28, will include 12 streets, about 3.5 miles. The roads include Birch Hill Dr., Royal Oak Dr., Deer Run Dr., Blackhawk La., Rushleigh Rd., Balfour Rd., Tumblebrook La., Blue Ridge La., Fairfield Rd., and a portion of Sedgwick Rd., Tunxis Rd. and Cliffmore Rd. Work should be completed by mid-October.
Street reconstruction is underway for Ware Ave. and Westfield Rd. This includes new curbs, sidewalks, driveway aprons and pavement.
CNG projects:
Connecticut Natural Gas Co. is in the process of upgrading its 1920 cast-iron gas lines with plastic pipes on five streets, thereby improving service to the homes with high-pressure lines that are more reliable. Work is now complete on Linnard Road and Edgemere Avenue. Improvements on Westland Avenue and Van Buren Avenue will start in August. Arundel Avenue is under design by CNG with work scheduled to begin in the fall.
