WEST HARTFORD SPECIAL OLYMPICS

The West Hartford Team was founded in 1969 and currently has over 75 athletes, over 45 unified partners, plus a substantial number of coaches and volunteers who keep the team going. We offer ten sports to our athletes and they compete in the four statewide events held each year. Many of our athletes do one sport each season so they are continually active with the team. The age range of our athletes is 12 years to over 60 years of age; the majority are in their 20s, 30s and 40s.
