U.S. Green Building Council - LEED for Existing Buildings certification West Hartford Public Schools may have an opportunity to work with the Connecticut chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council to pilot the LEED - Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design - Existing Buildings certification process for schools in CT. As of right now, there are no LEED-EB certified public schools in CT. Could West Hartford be the first? The certification fees would be waived, but the school (with assistance from the Town) would need to do the work and gather all the required documentation. Contact catherine.diviney@westhartford.org.
