The 2013 Celebrate West Hartford 5K Road Race kicks off at 9:30 am.
COURSE: The 5K scenic, flat course begins on Raymond Road, winds through West Hartford neighborhoods and ends on Burr Street near West Hartford Town Hall. The race is RRCA sanctioned and USATF certified: 5K course #CT-89005-DR. Click here for map.
Competitive and non-competitive divisions (see registration form). For those 10 & under, A Kids Fun Run (half mile) dashes through Blue Back Square at 8:30 am.
REPORT ON RACE DAY: Runners should meet at the tent in the Whole Foods Market (50 Raymond Road, West Hartford) parking lot on Sunday, June 9thbetween 8 am and 9 am.
DIRECTIONS: Take Exit 43 off I-84, turn right at end of ramp, at traffic light turn left on Trout Brook Rd. and head north. At third traffic light, turn left on Farmington Avenue. Turn left again at first traffic light onto Raymond Road. Parking available in Isham Street Garage opposite Whole Foods.
FEE: 5K: $25 per runner until June 1; $30 for registrations postmarked or received after June 1. Kids Fun Run: $5 per child (10 & under). Non refundable.
Online registration for both 2013 races will be available May 1, 2013.
PRE RACE PACKAGE PICK UP: Pre-registered runners may pick up race packets at Fleet Feet Sports (1003 Farmington Avenue, West Hartford) on Friday, June 7, from 3 pm to 6 pm, and Saturday, June 8, from 9 am to Noon. Race registrations will also be accepted at Fleet Feet Sports during these times (cash or check only).
