New Resident to West Hartford?

As you are settling into your new home, be sure to make a note to notify the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles about your change of address.

According to the State Department of Motor Vehicles, once you have established residency in Connecticut, you have 30 days to transfer your out-of-state license to Connecticut and 60 days to transfer your vehicle(s) registration.

If you are transferring from one town to another within Connecticut, you may obtain the necessary forms on-line at the DMV web site at www.ct.gov/dmv .
