Spring Yard Waste Collection

Public Works Department Annual Spring Yard Waste program has been completed for 2013.  All Public Works employees have been reassigned to road reconstruction and other seasonal maintenance duties.  However, due to our error in advertisement, published in the West Hartford News, containing an incorrect collection start date of May 13th in the heading but, had accurate dates for the actual scheduled collection for the week of May 6th we will attempt to correct missed collections.  At this time we cannot accommodate an additional full weekly collection due to scheduled road maintenance responsibilities.  In an effort to correct this error and keep on task with seasonal duties we will deploy all available staff on inclement weather days over the next month to collect yard waste.  Residents can call the Public Works office at 860-561-8100 to log their address for collection or they may bring their yard waste to the Recycling Center during regular business hours.
