Home Security Program
Security is an important consideration to homeowners. The town's Home Security Program provides income-eligible property owners with grants to install or improve security measures in their homes (up to $500). Covered improvements include motion-activated exterior lighting, window and door locks, security devices and shrubbery trimming - all of which contribute to the value and safety of their homes. Alarm contracts with security companies are not eligible.
This program is often used in conjunction with the Housing Rehabilitation Program, but may be used independently.
