Phone Book Recycling

What do you do with the old phone book? Recycle your old phone book, don't throw it away! Recycle it at any one of the five locations below! Unfortunately phone books cannot be recycled at curbside so please do not put it in your blue recycling bin.

As you may know, the Town of West Hartford is charged a $62 per ton fee for trash removal (this fee is expected to rise to $67 on July 1, 2009). By removing heavy phone books from the waste stream, you are doing your part to keep costs down while protecting the environment. So please do not put your old phone book in your automated refuse container, instead place it in one of the dumpsters marked for phone book recycling. This service will remain in place through May 6th.
