weekly curbside collection of refuse and recyclables, seasonal
curbside leaf collection, snow plowing and street sweeping. Streetlights
and street signs, a basic amenity not found in every town, are

with improved visibility in the evening. West Hartford provides
superior public safety services to the community.
The town has
emergency services 24-hours a day with its full-time police and
fire departments and contracted paramedic and ambulance services.
West Hartford is proud of its two municipal golf courses, two
indoor pools, four outdoor pools, an ice skating rink, six public
parks, including an environmental demonstration farm, two senior
centers and three public libraries. The Town of West Hartford
also operates a conference center and two cable access television
channels to deliver timely information to its residents.
