Fishing and Game Licenses

A variety of game licenses are available throughout the year. In order to obtain a hunting, combination fishing/hunting or trapping license you must present either a Department of Environmental Protection Firearms safety certificate, or a previous Connecticut resident license which is less than 5 years old. Archery licenses are only available through the Department of Environmental Protection Licensing and Revenue Unit.

Fishing licenses are required for anyone over 15 years old, and currently cost $20.00. Hunting licenses are available for $14.00. Combination fishing and hunting licenses are $28.00. You can also purchase your license at local sporting goods stores during the evenings and on weekends. Hunting and fishing guides are available when you purchase your license.

Licenses issued to any blind, mentally disabled or physically disabled person shall be a LIFETIME license.
